Naked Art 2018

2018 marks our fourth annual Naked Art show exhibit of unmounted, unframed works of fine art at more affordable prices. Take your art finds home when you purchase them & use the money you’ve saved to frame your new art your way.

Say it in Six

In our front gallery, the Calligraphers’ Guild presents 28 pieces that tell a story in six words and vibrant visuals. Reception

This month’s artist reception takes place Saturday, February 3, from 1-3 pm, with live music by Matt and Rebecca Stuart of Minstrel Stream. Author reading by Christin Lore Weber from her newly published book “Widow’s Walk.” This is the first opportunity to purchase Christin’s book locally!

Both shows continue through Sunday, Feb. 25.

New Art Presence Boutique

In this newly opened section of the Main Gallery our artists present unique handcrafted pieces by Art Presence members, including small fine art, jewelry, greeting cards, and a variety of 3D works. These small to medium-size artworks will make great gifts for any occasion, any time of the year.

Welcome, Year of the Dog!

We have more going on this month with special activities, talks, and an artist demonstration on the art of Chinese brush painting as part of the City of Jacksonville’s Chinese New Year Celebration happening on February 17!

Holiday Treasures

Our December exhibit is Holiday Treasures, featuring a wide range of creative works selected for their suitability as gifts. The show dates are December 1–31. You’ll find many artistic treasures that will be the perfect gift for loved ones and colleagues this holiday season.  A collection of Dolores Ribal’s new works are also on exhibit in the main gallery. With hand-carved miniature carousel horses to glass art, fabric art, jewelry and fine art, this show has it all for the holidays! Take your treasures home at the time of purchase to wrap and give.

Anne Brooke’s newly published coloring book is now available for purchase! “Color Historic Jacksonville” is 8 1/2” by 8 1/2”, which can be colored with your choice of colored pencil, crayon, marker or oil pastel, and costs $19.95. All proceeds from the sale of “Color Historic Jacksonville” benefit Art Presence Art Center.

Color HIstoric Jacksonville, newly published coliring book by Anne Brooke - front cover

Color Historic Jacksonville, a uniquely local coloring book by Anne Brooke, Art Presence Founder and member artist, will be available for purchase during our Holiday Treasures exhibition in December. Color Historic Jacksonville is published by David and Ginna Gordon of Lucky Valley Press, a Jacksonville-based publisher. The pages of this 8 1/2” by 8 1/2” coloring book can be colored with colored pencil, crayon, marker or oil pastel. The coloring book sells for $19.95. Stop by the gallery on Friday, December 1 fand be among those who get the first look, or join us at the reception on Saturday, December 2 from 1 to 3 pm.

Renovations Underway…and Preparations for Holiday Treasures, too!

Renovations Underway : Dolls from the studio of Patricia Wormuth in progress

As we announced last month, the gallery is closed for the month of November for renovations. We are well underway now! The initial preparations for the sheetrock work on the walls are complete and work is in progress.

In addition, our artists are working feverishly to create gorgeous gift items and fabulous art for the most discriminating people on your list! Pictured are dolls in progress from the studio of Patricia Wormuth.
