Angels Show Call to Artists - Image of painting entitled Christmas in Jacksonville, depitcing a festive herald angel flying over the snow-covered town of Jacksonville, Or, by Katharine Gracey

The Angels show has a new home! After a change in their own art situation, yet with a lingering desire to see this show continue, the GoodBean passed the baton to Art Presence Art Center. 2018 will be the 6th annual exhibition of angel art.

2018 Angels Show Call to Artists

Art Presence, in conjunction with Southern Oregon Artists Resource, announces their 2018 Angels Show call to artists! The call is for angel art to be included in this year’s holiday exhibition, to be exhibited during December 2018.

As with previous shows, we are looking for for artists’ INTERPRETATIONS of angels. We have seen such an amazing variety of angels in past shows, from abstract and impressionist to classical realism and traditional/religious angels. We prefer new angels, but invite prior year’s artists and their angels to return. The gallery has pedestals available, so 3D angels are no longer a display challenge! Show us your freestanding angels as well as 2D wall art in your choice of medium.

Show Us Your Angels!

Please fill out the application form below and submit images of your angel art to gallery director Anne Brooke at anne@brookewatercolor.com. Anne will be happy to answer any questions not addressed on the form. Submissions are not technically juried, but they are reviewed to prioritize them in case we run out of space. If you’re okay with us using the image of your angel in promotions for the show, please let us know. Planning to paint an angel to submit? Please notify us in advance so we can plan for space to include your angel in the show.

Details & Show Schedule

  • Submission Deadline: November 12, 2018
  • Artwork Delivery:November 23-25, 11am – 5pm each day.
  • Art Hanging: November 29
  • Show Opens: November 29
  • Reception: December 1
  • Art Takedown: December 30
  • All pieces must be for sale and ready to hang, with wire for two dimensional pieces and bases for three dimensional pieces.
  • All Angels will remain in the gallery until the end of the exhibit.

Thank you so much for answering our call! We can’t wait to see your angels.

Please share our 2018 Angels Show Call to Artists with artist friends and fellow members of artist groups who might like to participate. We also invite you to share it in your newsletters, online announcements and artist group meetings.

Taste of Summer Call to Artisans

Taste of Summer is an annual celebration in Jacksonville presented by Britt Music & Arts Festival and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. The event includes a wine walk, live music, food booths, art, classic cars and more. This will be the second year in which selected artisans or crafters will be invited to show and sell their products. Art Presence is committed to its ongoing participation in the Taste, and we hope you will choose to celebrate the opening of the Britt Music & Arts Festival 2016 concert season by participating with your own booth—in the center of the action in downtown Jacksonville—this spring!

Artist Opportunity – World of Wine / Asante Benefit for Children’s Miracle Network

Posted by on Jun 21, 2014 in Opportunities | 0 comments

The World of Wine and Asante have joined together to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network and over time are trying to think of creative ways to do this. One of the things they are planning involves artists! Artists will be painting a wine barrel to be auctioned off at their event in August.
The barrels will be provided, and the proper way to seal them and a place to paint them will also be provided. Each artist will get $700 for their effort. Please consider doing this, and contact Anne Brooke to let her know as soon as possible.
