Small Treasures December reception

Haven’t had a chance to see our Small Treasures holiday gift show of small artworks yet? Maybe you missed our November reception and want to meet the artists participating in this show? Come join us after enjoying the Jacksonville Christmas Parade for our December reception for Small Treasures on Saturday, December 3 from noon–3pm!
Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, chat with the artists and choose small works of fine art to give to the special ones on your list. All while listening to the beautiful instrumentals of Minstrel Streams, featuring new members Matt and Rebecca Stuart. Matt and Rebecca are lifelong musicians, art enthusiasts and lovely people whom you will also want to meet!

Art Presence member artists have filled the gallery with artworks sized and priced to make perfect holiday gifts. Artwork can be taken home for wrapping when purchased, and artists will add new works throughout the show to keep the gallery well stocked for your shopping pleasure.

We are presenting two author readings during this reception as well.

At 1:00 we present a very special author reading by Garris Elkins. Elkins will read from one of his books titled “The Leadership Rock.” This book is a 35 year long collection of stories and experiences that take the reader deeper into the heart of what it means to lead people with integrity.

He will read selections from the following chapters:

The Gift of Gladys:”A story of how I learned what loves looks like from an unexpected source.”

The Big Shot Pastor:”A story of how I discovered that my pride had blinded me to the needs of those I love.”

A Hundred Dollar Cry: “A story of how one act of love can touch us at the deepest level of our being.”

Restored Flight:”A story of how a high-profiled, but fallen and broken national leader was loved back to wholeness.”

The Fifty-Year Letter: “A story of how our dreams and hopes for marriage can be realized.”

Recommissioned Lives: “A story of how we will always carry purpose, but in a new context for a new season of life.”

At 2:00pm, Tom Glassman reads from his hilarious “Diary of a Reindeer.”

Art Presence Art Center regular gallery hours are 11am – 5pm every Thursday through Sunday.
