Our Members’ show continues this month with fresh works added! Check out these fine works, available in the gallery starting this Friday:

Our Guest Exhibit for this month, Painting Outside the Box, falls in the Don’t Miss column. Since the rectangular format for paintings leaves so much for the viewer to imagine, artist Jerrold Simon made the decision to add canvas to his works…to show the top of a mountain, the bend of a river, an exploding star, etc. Not only that, he adds physical depth to his works, which draws you out of the viewing area and into the painting. His style is unique, exciting, and awe-inspiring. Now you have the opportunity to see and experience Simon’s paintings!

Here is a preview of Simon’s works. You will see many of these in his March 2022 Guest Exhibit, and more that are not pictured here.

With the expertise of videographer Arlis Duncan, we have produced an experience of artwork by Jerrold Simon. For the video, go to https://youtu.be/MIFh4cAuCsQ to be amazed.

To see them in person, come to the gallery! Jerry’s exhibit opens Friday, March 4, at noon, with an Arts & Letters conversation the same day at 5 pm and a reception on Saturday, March 5, from 1–3 pm. Come meet the artist, view the video, and enjoy our members’ work in the Main gallery. You will have an opportunity to see Jerry’s process of beginning a painting.

Both our Members’ show in the main gallery and Painting Outside the Box continue on display through Sunday, March 27.
