Our Arts & Letters Zoom Chats invite you into the homes and studios of local artists and authors.

November marks the publication of author Frank De Luca’s new book!

Kindness: A guide for humans based on the Enneagram

The wisdom in this beautiful and engaging book is drawn from the Enneagram, a system of nine fundamental ways of viewing life. In learning about how other people think, you can…

  • appreciate that not everyone thinks the same way you do
  • learn not to take other people’s behavior personally
  • see why certain relationships challenge you more than others
  • learn how to respond rather than react in most situations
  • expand your empathy toward others
  • increase your skills in relating to all types of people
  • deepen your connection with the people that matter to you
  • laugh more

In this Zoom session, Arts & Letters host Ginna BB Gordon talks with Frank and his two collaborators on the book, designer Ken Gregg and illustrator Nancy Bardos.

Join us online for a discussion of the book with author Frank De Luca!

Have you picked up your copy of Kindness already? Thinking of buying more to give for the holidays? Good call! Get them all signed by the author at the gallery on Saturday, November 13, from 3–5pm. That leaves plenty of time for wrapping and sending in time for the big day!

Frank De Luca, Ph.D., has been facilitating classes and workshops in self-awareness since 1976. For most of those years, the Enneagram has informed his work as a marriage and family therapist, a leadership coach, and a corporate consultant.

Now semi-retired, Frank provides guidance and training to several community non-profit organizations in and around Jacksonville, Oregon, where he lives with his partner, Ken Gregg. Creative projects and writing have become a central part of his life, including posting poetry for passersby to see in the front windows of the 1850s former saloon where he lives.
