Pocket Sketching Workshop with Kath Macauley

Posted by on Apr 22, 2017 in Events, Workshops | 0 comments

We are SO excited about Kath Macauley’s Pocket Sketching workshop, the first art workshop to be offered in our upstairs classroom!  No more lugging an easel and paints to a location to capture your plein air impressions, missing opportunities or working from photographs because you were traveling and couldn’t bring art supplies. Perfect for hiking, biking, sitting in a cafe or standing in line—take it anywhere, whip it out in a minute, preserve a memory in 25 minutes or less and put away with no clean-up. Ideal for travel.

Please save the date and plan to attend this program that will make creating art more accessible and convenient for anyone.  You will find all the information you need to register and be prepared for the Pocket Sketching workshop in the PDF below. Just click to enlarge to see the entire brochure or download it to your computer.

Kath Macauley’s artist statement:

As an artist, I enjoy capturing the moment. There is always a reason to paint something that catches the eye and the mind. Most of my paintings are designed to give the viewer a feeling of serenity, and of having visited the same location. As an instructor, I delight in teaching my easy, totally portable, no-clean-up technique for beginners and professionals alike.
The workshops are well organized, fast, loaded with information.

Motto: Learn enough to play for a lifetime.
