Art Presence Art Center presents “Environmentality,” a themed exhibit of member artworks, for April 2014.

 

Art Presence artist members will show works about the landscapes that surround us, be they still life, people, or large scale views of our world. Mediums include oil, watercolor, acrylic, photography and ceramics.

The exhibit opens on April 4th and runs through April 27th. The gallery is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5 pm.

There will be a reception to meet the artists on Friday, April 11 from 5 to 7 pm.  Art Presence Art Center is located on the Courthouse grounds at 206 5th Street in Jacksonville.

More April Events at Art Presence

The Jacksonville Hike-a-thon will take place on April 19th.  Art Presence will donate 25% of anything sold that day to the Jacksonville Woodlands.

On Sunday, April 6th, from 3-4pm, Catie Faryl will present “The Bridge to 2020”- Art and ideas about improving our environment through new and old beliefs and systems, discussing the challenges we face and offering suggestions on how to restore balance in our use of resources in our efforts to reclaim  stewardship of the Earth.

Catie’s presentation is FREE and open to the public!

Art Presence Partners with Pioneer Village to Provide Art Exhibits

Pioneer Village and Art Presence Art Center, both in Jacksonville, Oregon, have joined together to provide art exhibits for residents, families and friends.

Exhibits will be held in the dining room and a reception will be provided for residents to meet the presenting artist.  The first exhibit will feature Anne Brooke, a watercolorist, with the reception on April 10th from 4 to 6pm.  Everyone is welcome.  The exhibit will continue through the month of May.

In June, Alice LaMoree will be showing her beautiful photographs.

This venture was suggested by John Braislen, a resident of Pioneer Village and a true patron of the Arts.
