Small Treasures Holiday Show

Last year’s Small Treasures show was well-attended and successful—both for the artists and those who purchased small treasures for holiday gifts! So we decided to do it again…Showcasing small works of fine art created by local talent and priced for gift-giving, this show is your opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind artistic treasures to give the art lovers on your list. Artwork purchases from this exhibition can be taken home immediately, with new works replacing them to keep the gallery full of artistic treasures throughout the holiday shopping season.

This year’s show opens on November 6 and runs through December 27, with a reception on Saturday, November 8 from 12–3pm. A second reception takes place on Saturday, December 5 from noon to 3pm.

Our December reception also marks the return of our Art Presence Authors Read program! Anna Elkins will read from her “children’s book for grownups,” And, The Story of More, at 1:00pm. At 2:00pm, Steve Carlson will read from one of four books he has represented in the gallery.

Score collectible paintings by Elaine Witteveen, long time Jacksonville resident & Artists Workshop founder who passed away in March of this year! Art Presence will continue to show and sell her works through year’s end at greatly reduced prices—another fabulous gift-giving opportunity!

Pioneer Village: “Elements of Southern Oregon” show of paintings and sketches by Anna Elkins continues through January, with many small pieces suitable for gifts.
Jacksonville Library: Exhibit of oil paintings by Shan Lollis in the Naverson Room has been extended through January.

Shown below are a few of the small treasures offered by Art Presence member artists for this year’s show…

We are adding an Artist Gift Shop to the front room of our gallery in November! Artists will provide cards, ornaments and small gifts in the shop to add dimension to our offerings and options for  your Christmas gift giving list. Felted wool figures, elegant wooden rattles, and handcrafted wooden trinket boxes like this one by new member Bruce Millbank are just one example of the small treasures you will find in our new gift shop!

We will also be open during the Jacksonville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 28, 2014. We will add more details to this post as they become available.
