| Honoring 60 Years of Andre’s Art, April showers bring local painter, Andre Satie, to Art Presence Gallery with a retrospective of her career. Known for presenting a unique and playful style, she brilliantly captures landscapes and scenes from daily life with pastels and acrylics.This Talent artist grew up in her dad’s sign shop in the days of hand-lettered signage, and to this day, there are few aromas that she loves more than the smell of ‘turps’. At a young age, Andre took the plunge onto the road marked “Artist” and never looked back. Today, after 60-some years of plying the brush, her happy place is still the studio. Carol is known throughout the valley for her whimsical, hand painted lamps. You have to see them in person to experience just how fun they are.  Art Classes April 7th, 1-4: ‘Block printing with Belinda Moffit’. All experience levels welcome. Supplies provided. $40 per person. Plan on completing 2-3 different paintings and/or drawings during the class. $65 per person. Ginna will speak about illustrating the book, ‘Year of the Dragon’ by Debbie Chin. Color sheets of Ginna’s illustrations from the book and crayons or colored pencils will be provided.
